We had a great swim and BBQ at Oxbow Park, It is quite close to Portland but very nice for swimming and spending the day.We all went plus Kanui and her kids, so 11 of us, lots of yummy food and sunshine.

Month 4! Aunty Tess is visiting and it is summer.
We had a heat wave, which no one liked, one day it was 106 degrees! That's 41! Horrible but luckily Ruban had just installed an air conditioner in our room so we hid in there all day while the grass all turned brown outside. Moe has had lots of swims which he loves but only in pools, we have not been to the river yet and the sea is far too cold for anyone, let alone babies.
Since Tess has been here we have been doing lots of going out. Luckily it has cooled off and we have been doing all sorts of portlandy activities. We have been to the farmers market, The mall for some crazy American shopping, Picnicking, Looking at art galleries and sampling foods etc. We took Moe to his first movie the other day. Star trek. He was a bit scared though and then he went to sleep but he did seem to enjoy some bits.

Moe and Ruban on the 4th of July. We celebrated with Ruban's family and had a big yummy Hawaiian BBQ and lots of illegal fire works form out of state. Moe had to stay inside with me and the pets for those though.



Moe in his new bouncer. he has gone off bouncing a bit now as he really likes to roll and try to crawl. Here he is wearing his little blue shirt that Celine knitted him.







Moe and his second cousin Jasmine sharing a swing at the park in Beaverton. They stayd on there for about half an hour and loved every minute of it.

Moe wearing is hat that he has to keep the sun off is bald head! A boy on the bus the other day said to his mum "does that baby have cancer?" !! Sometimes he looks like a pirate or a washerwoman but he is still cute.

In his pool out on the porch. I just fill it a wee bit so he can have a splash without me having to hold him.

Trying to crawl. This is his latest obsession. as soon as he wakes up in the morning he rolls over onto his belly and starts working on his crawl. He can't quite get it together yet but he tries very hard and gets really frustrated when all his efforts don't get him any closer to the desired (probably dangerous or fragile) object. He can move quite far though. I woke up the other morning to find that he had rolled out of bed and was lying on the floor trying to chew he ipod. luckily we sleep on the floor so he can't come to too much harm but he does need extra supervision and we are starting to baby proof the house.

Moe and Ruban sharing a strawberry boba with green jellies. Moe is very interested in food at the moment and likes to have a go at everything but sometimes he is happy just to chew on the table. He has two big teeth at the bottom now and can give a mean bite!


Sitting up like a big guy. Moe loves going out. here he is sitting in his own chair at the cafe. He has been loving all our missions we have been doing with Tess. He really likes all the lights and people especially on the bus where all the freaks and old ladies and little kids make a fuss of him.


One of my many unsuccessful attempts to capture Moe being cute and doing his tricks. Whenever I point to camera at him he gets all shy and does a silly look.

Moebi in June

After a nice long breakfast Bret, Shelley, Ruban, Moe and Me took a trip to the Rose gardens. The international Rose test gardens are in Portland and in June there is a rose festival and the gardens are amazing.

We also visited the Japanese garden which is huge and wonderful. It wasn't that peaceful the day that we went as it was Saturday afternoon and the first day of the school holidays. We will have to go on a Monday morning one day.

We all went out to Beaverton to celebrate Aliyah's 8th birthday at Papa's Pizza. We had to take 2 buses and a train to get there but even though it seemed daunting at first we all enjoyed the trip and it didn't really take that long. Moe got passed around the party and was cuddled by everyone but he was very happy about the whole thing.

How could anyone get upset at a flamingo luau pizza party anyway.

This is how Moe likes to travel when we take public transport. he is happy like this for hours on end. Babies are the latest fashion accessory for the 29 year old hipster.

I have to make sure I snap Moe in all my crazy knitted creations before he grows out of them!

I never get tired of watching these two guys sleep they are both such cute sloths.

Moebi 2 months old

Moe really like hanging out outside on his blanket in the sunshine while I hang out his nappies.

Moe in his hut. We have discovered that the fan being on will also spin the toys which is his best thing, if the toys stop moving he gets mad! Moe really like to have a bit of time on his changing mat with his nappy off but his new favourite activity for summer is lying on his mat with the fan blowing on his bare bum.

Moe usually has naps with Ruban during the day. Today though he woke Ruban up by doing a huge poo, some of which leaked onto the bed! Gross.
